The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) held the 1st meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR-2025) on Thursday in the Council Hall of the Administration Block. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, President of IIUI.
President IIUI, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, emphasized that the BASR serves as a pivotal platform for fostering academic excellence. He noted that the valuable insights shared by the esteemed board members would significantly contribute to advancing research at the university.
Key agenda items related to the Faculty of Usuluddin, Faculty of Management Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Shariah & Law, Faculty of Sciences, and Faculty of Languages and Literature were deliberated. The board also reviewed 27 PhD proposals and shared constructive suggestions with the President.
The meeting was attended by the Deans of the respective faculties, the Secretary of the BASR, and other relevant officials of IIUI.
